ABOUT US

Bell Appeal was founded in 1996 as a community-based handbell group focused on having fun and performing music not typically found in the average handbell choir repertoire. The group plays concerts, private events, and participates in handbell festivals and mass rings through Area XII of the Handbell Musicians of America

In 2026, Michele Sharik was named Artistic Director of Bell Appeal. Michele rings professionally with Sonos Handbell Ensemble, is the founding Artistic Director of Timbre, and is an internationally-renowned handbell soloist, conductor and teacher. She has played, taught, and/or conducted bells in 40 U.S. states and ten countries.
