Welcome to Bell Appeal!

Bell Appeal is a San Francisco-based community handbell ensemble sponsored by Bethany United Methodist Church. We're "not your mama's handbell choir" -- we've made it our mission to perform a wide range of genres, incorporate singers and instrumentalists from the community, and most importantly, to HAVE FUN while we make great music together.

Many of our pieces you wouldn't find in a typical handbell repertoire as we “appeal” to all tastes: previous concerts have featured a handbell spin on jazz, classic rock, musical theater, and current pop music. We have performed concerts that brought together pieces as varied as Fun.'s "Carry On," "Same Love" by Macklemore, and "Feeling Good" as performed by Michael Bublé.

Any event can be enriched by the distinctive sound of Bell Appeal, and we are available for weddings, office parties, anniversaries, birthday parties, and memorial services. We have performed in a diverse selection of venues including the Neibaum-Coppola Winery, Alta Mira Hotel, the Hornblower Yachts, for the Dance Along Nutcracker, and at the Castro Theater. We would be thrilled to add your event to the list.

Bell Appeal rehearses Monday nights in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood and welcome all levels of ringers. If you are interested in joining, please drop us a line!
